×     just the recipe

A recipe-saving tool built to skip the scroll and get straight to what you’re cooking.

just the recipe was built around a familiar internet frustration: opening a recipe link and having to scroll through ads, popups, personal essays, newsletter prompts, and unrelated content before reaching the actual ingredients and instructions.

The product lets users paste a recipe URL, extract the usable cooking information, and save it into a clean personal archive. Instead of treating recipes like disposable browser tabs, it turns them into organized, readable cards that can be returned to later.

The experience was designed to feel lightweight and utility-first: paste a link, clean up the recipe, save it, and access it again without the surrounding clutter.

URL-BASED EXTRACTION

Users start by pasting a recipe link. The app is designed around extracting the useful parts of a recipe page, including title, ingredients, instructions, and key cooking details, while removing the surrounding page clutter.

CLEAN RECIPE VIEW

Extracted recipes are reformatted into a focused cooking view that prioritizes readability, scannability, and quick reference while cooking.

PERSONAL ARCHIVE

Saved recipes live in an archive so users can return to them later instead of repeatedly searching through bookmarks, screenshots, or browser history. Users can also manually add recipes sourced from Instagram, cookbooks, handwritten notes, or other offline references, allowing the platform to function as a centralized personal recipe library rather than only a recipe extraction tool.

ADD-FROM-ANYWHERE FLOW

The product keeps recipe capture lightweight by centering the experience around a single paste-link action, making it easy to add recipes from food blogs, social links, or websites.

ACCOUNT + SAVED STATE

Account creation allows recipes to stay tied to a user over time, supporting a more durable personal recipe library rather than a one-off extraction tool.

LOW-FRICTION UTILITY

The interface was intentionally kept simple so the tool behaves less like a content platform and more like a quick utility: paste, extract, save, cook.
